Biography

I am a medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of patients with malignant melanoma. In the context of our multidisciplinary team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, including physician-scientists, nurses, patient support advocates and others, I focus on the specific needs of each patient. I believe strongly in the concept of personalized medicine and I incorporate the most up to date clinical and basic science research into clinical care. It is my mission to ensure that all patients who come to our clinic receive comprehensive, compassionate and individualized care that is at the forefront of medicine.

My research focuses on early drug development, the evaluation of resistance to targeted therapies and novel treatment strategies for malignant melanoma. I develop and run clinical trials that evaluate the use of new anticancer treatments. I also have a strong focus on translating laboratory research examining the molecular mechanisms of cancer, as well as the immune system, into the clinic. My research has been supported by the National Cancer Institute, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
